God does love you!

God said, "I have loved you with an everlasting love."

Jeremiah 31:3

"For I know what I have planned for you," says the LORD. "I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope."

Jeremiah 29:11

God showed His great love for us by sending His only son Jesus Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Romans 5:8

What separates me from God?  Sin!

What is sin?

Franklin Graham:

Some call it “errors” or “mistakes” or “poor judgment.” This may be a good starting point, but as we learn more about God and the Bible, we see that it’s something much more serious. Sin is falling short of the perfect standard God has set. And, by our very nature, we are all falling short of His standard. We are all guilty. We have all sinned against Him.

The Bible mentions sin so frequently for a very good reason — it is sin, our sin, that separates us from God and, if not dealt with through faith and repentance, it brings eternal death. Facing the truth about our sin and its deadly consequences is a biblical prerequisite to receiving Jesus as Savior.

When Adam sinned (was disobedient to God), sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death (separation from God), so death (separation) spread to everyone, for everyone has sinned.

Romans 5:12

Your sinful acts have alienated you from God; your sins have caused Him to reject you...

Isaiah 59:2

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.

Romans 3:23

The payment for sin is death (separation from God), but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Will God accept me?

Franklin Graham:

When we turn from our sin (repent/stop doing) — acknowledge our rebellion against God and inability to save ourselves — and turn to God in faith, asking Him to forgive us for our sins (wrong doings), we are offered His free gift of salvation.

And you will perish, too, unless you repent of your sins and turn to God.

Luke 13:3

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father in Heaven except through me."

John 14:6

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

God loved the world so much he gave His one and only Son, so that anyone who believes in Him (accepts Him) will not perish (be separated from God) but have eternal life (in Heaven).

John 3:16

...to anyone who BELIEVED Him (to be their Savior, God's Son) and ACCEPTED Him (as their personal Savior and Master), He gave them the right to become children of God (salvation).

(Merely believing Jesus is God's son and the Savior of all people does NOT save a person and make them God's family; you MUST also repent of your sins (admit you are a sinner, ask forgiveness) ACCEPT Jesus as your savior and the Master and Lord of your life.)

John 1:12

If you confess (pray) with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (God's Son) and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, ask forgiveness of your sins (wrong doings), you will be saved (from separation from God).

For by believing in your heart you are made right with God, and by confessing (praying/asking) with your mouth you are saved.

Romans 10:9-10

Prayer  of  Salvation:

Franklin Graham:

To be saved from your sin, take these three steps:

Ask forgiveness for your sins;

be willing to turn from your sins (repent/stop doing it);

and believe that Jesus Christ — our Lord and Savior — died for your sins and rose again.

You can accept Jesus Christ as your Savior by praying and meaning the following prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus,

I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I trust and follow you as my Savior and the Lord and Master of my life. Guide my life and help me do your will and become the Christian you want me to be.

In your name, amen.”
